Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 September 2026

These terms govern your use of RectoPDF. By using the site and its tools, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

Who we are

RectoPDF is operated by CSWon LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Use of the service

RectoPDF provides PDF, document and audio tools. The browser tools run on your device, at no cost and without an account. AI Audio Transcription requires an account and is processed on our servers. You agree to use the service lawfully and not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, circumvent its limits, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law permits.

Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. One account per person: creating several accounts to multiply the free allowance is not allowed, and we may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Your files and content

The browser tools process your files locally in your browser; we do not receive or store them. AI Audio Transcription sends your recording to our server only to transcribe it; it is not kept afterwards (see the Privacy Policy).

You keep all rights to your files and to the results. You confirm that you have the right to process what you submit, in particular that you are allowed to record and transcribe the people who can be heard in a recording, and that the content does not infringe anyone's rights. You are solely responsible for your files and for keeping your own backups.

Automated results

Transcripts, recognized text, translations, and the references to religious or other texts matched inside a recording are produced automatically by software. They can contain errors, omissions and misattributions. Check them before relying on them; they are not legal, medical, financial or religious advice.

Free allowance

Every account includes 2 hours of audio transcription per calendar month (UTC), free of charge. We may change the size of this allowance or the conditions of the free tier in the future; changes apply to future use and are announced on the site.

Pro subscription and hour packs

RectoPDF Pro costs €6.99 per month or €69.99 per year and includes 30 hours of transcription per month (the yearly plan credits its 360 hours at once). Hour packs are one-time purchases: 20 hours for €4.99 with an active Pro subscription, 10 hours for €4.99 otherwise. Prices are shown before tax; applicable VAT or sales tax is added at checkout according to your country.

Hours do not expire, including after you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page; access to Pro continues until the end of the period already paid, no further payment is taken, and you keep your hours. If we change prices, existing subscribers are notified at least 30 days before the new price applies and can cancel before it does.

Payments through Polar

Purchases are made through Polar Software Inc. (polar.sh), which acts as merchant of record: Polar is the seller of record for the transaction, collects the payment and applicable taxes, and issues your receipt or invoice. Polar's terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself. We never see your card number.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund of the unused part of any charge (first payment, renewal or hour pack) at any time, with no time limit: an annual subscription you have not used can be refunded whenever you ask. The unused part is the amount paid minus the hours used since that charge, valued at the hourly rate of what you bought (its price divided by the hours it includes).

Within 14 days of the charge, the refund is made with no fee. After 14 days, a fixed processing fee of €1 is deducted, covering the payment costs our payment provider does not return to us.

Refunded hours are removed from your balance. Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Polar. On request, we can instead credit the amount to your account as RectoPDF hours, with no fee. A refund does not stop a subscription by itself: to avoid the next renewal, also cancel it from your account page.

Nothing here reduces the rights you have under mandatory law, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. To request a refund, contact us through the contact page from the email address of your account.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CSWon LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time through the contact page. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, abuse the service or whose payments fail, and we may withdraw or change features of the service. Your statutory rights, including the refund rights above, are not affected.

Changes

We may update the service and these terms over time. Material changes are reflected by the “last updated” date above and, for changes affecting paid features, notified in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply to you.
